Music for Ukraine

The Music for Ukraine fundraising concert series was established in 2022 as a reaction by CCM students to the brutal, full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The recitals featured violinist Andrii Isakov, bandurist and composer Maksym Mahlay, and bandurist Taras Mahlay. In just two months, Music for Ukraine raised about $55,000. These funds were sent to various non-profit organizations in Ukraine and the USA that aim to support refugees, soldiers, and civilians with humanitarian and medical needs.

The Music for Ukraine project exists not only to raise awareness and funds for disaster assistance for Ukrainians affected by the war, but also to showcase music from Ukrainian composers. By performing this music, the project aims to keep the culture alive and raise awareness among Americans.

With your unwavering support last spring, we were able to collect about $50,000 for Ukrainian humanitarian needs amidst Russia's brutal war. You generosity surpassed our expectations!

Now, Music for Ukraine is ready to continue its mission with even greater purpose. We're not only focused on raising awareness and funds for those affected by the war but also on preserving and reviving unknown Ukrainian musical treasures. Our ultimate goal is to make Ukrainian music a national brand and symbol that resonates with audiences worldwide.
